We're baaaaaaack!

What have we been up to for the past few months?  We've been eyeballs deep in our 365 project.  As I posted in January, we're making one photo each day for a year.  They're all on our 365 Blog.  I won't lie, it's been hard!  Some days, sure, something the kids do lends itself to a photo.  Or the weather is beautiful... or we have a session.  Then, some days... nothing happens.  Nothing jumps out, nothing looks amazing and one of us has to find a way to make a photo happen.  Our kids have been great - they're always up for this or that, and one day Emily took the photo herself.  We've definitely had fun with the project, and two full months in we're both glad we started it.

In other news, we took the plunge and bought a second camera.  Woot!  Dave fell in love with this particular camera last fall when it was introduced in October 2010.  We had to wait and wait and wait for it to become available, but on President's Day it was there online for the first time and a shopping frenzy ensued.  We are smitten with it.  Dave picked out a snazzy new lens to go with it and I have completely loved downloading the camera each day to see what magic he has created.  We'll both be photographing at weddings from this point on - an in-house second shooter.  Literally.  ;)

The boudoir sessions were wonderful - sexy and fun.  The MCP Project 52 that I'm moderating has grown by leaps and bounds and inspires me each week.

On scheduling: wedding season is rapidly approaching.  Like most other photographers, we have found ourselves overrun with wedding inquiries since the first of the year.  It's a wonderful compliment to our work and since we *love* photographing weddings, we're thrilled.  However, it dramtically impacts our schedule as far as family, infant and maternity sessions and we're finding ourselves booked for weeks/months at a time.  If you're thinking about scheduling a session, please get in touch with us so we have you on our radar and are absolutely sure to find you a day and time.  We have a humongous calendar hanging on the wall in the kitchen just for photography.  Even if you're not sure about a specific date - please, please, please call us or send an email with your thoughts.  We'd love to hear from you.

Looking ahead, lots of work ought to be hitting the blog and, of course, our Facebook page.  I expect to be uploading Tripp's newborn photos and the Hagood Family in the next day or two.  I do plan to be a little better about updating this poor, neglected blog - I have even installed the Blogger App to my Android Phone... I'm hopeful.  ;)
